Complete UWC3X Tutorial

This tutorial covers all aspects of the Uwc3X mode in English, with detailed explanations.

UWC3X commands

The following commands are available:
type /selectskill - Displays the skill selection menu.
type /selectattrib - Displays the attribute selection menu.
type /selectresist - Displays the resistance selection menu.
type /charactersheet (or /charsheet) - Displays your character sheet (skills, attributes, resistances, etc.).
type /who - Displays a list of players who are on the server and their levels.

Attribute

Strength - Determines your starting base health, interacts with Devotion Aura (+5hp for each point)

Intellect - Each level of Intellect you develop from 11 - 18 provides a different benefit

11) Increases the chance of Impale attacks (+8%)

12) Steal more money with Siphon Mana (+6%)

13) Increases the chance of Banish attacks (+6%)

14) Increases the chance of Hex attacks (+7%)

15) Increases the chance of Bash attacks (+7%)

16) Improved damage with Trueshot attacks (+7%)

17) Adds 2 serpent wards to your arsenal and decreases the cooldown of Teleport (by 10 seconds)

18) Increases Big Bad Voodoo to last 4 seconds

Dexterity - Helps successfully dodge hits for players trained in Evasion (+2% for each point in Dexterity) and adds to the effectiveness of Jumpkick ( +20% at Dexterity 18)

Agility - Determines your base speed, interacts with Unholy Aura

Constitution - Provides life regeneration, interacts with Healing Wave (every 5 seconds regenerates hp = points in constitution over 10 EX: constitution 18 => 8hp every 5 sec. )

Wisdom - Each level of wisdom you develop from 11 - 18 offers a different benefit
11) Decreases chance of being Hexed ( -15%)
12) Decreases chance of being hit by Impale ( -15%)
13) Increases damage to the ultimate Flame Strike ( +15% additional damage)
14) Increases damage to the ultimate Chain Lighnting ( +15% additional damage)
15) Decreases chance of losing weapon from JumpKick ( -33%)
16) Decreases chance of being hit by Banish ( -15%)
17) Decreases chance of being hit by Bash ( -15%)
18) +1 ultimate

NOTE1: Bonuses from Intellect and Wisdom are additive in the sense that at 18 points ( max ) all bonuses are active.
NOTE2: Percentages are additive, meaning if you have a 10% chance of bashing, with Intellect 15 the chance becomes 17%.
The same applies to Wisdom chances.
NOTE3: If after applying Wisdom bonuses (decreasing the chances of being hit) the chance becomes 0%, it automatically becomes 3%.
NOTE4: The exact figures are taken from UWC3X INFO ( defines.inl , xp.inl, UWC3X.cfg ) and they may vary depending on the server.

Resistance
 

UWC3X offers, in addition to the normal XP system, a new XP development system (E-XP) that allows you to collect Resistance points to build your character's defensive system. Each resistance can be trained up to X points at which point it should be fully covered by the specified damage type (by "fully covered" we mean the damage over time caused by the attack effects; the initial attack will still deal damage to you). These resistances are as follows:

Poison Resistance - protection against Shadow Strike and poison-based attacks

Disease Resistance - protection against Carrion Beetles and Locust Swarm and disease-based attacks

Electricity Resistance - protection against Chain Lightning attacks

Fire Resistance - protection against Flamethrower and Napalm Grenade and fire-based attacks

Ice Resistance - protection against ice-based attacks

Magic Resistance - protection against special magic-based attacks, many of which are covered by Necklace of Immunity. (protection against ultimates, voodoo, Blind, etc. )

Rot Resistance - protection against Rot

NOTE: X depends on server settings

Shop Items

 

SHOPMENU

1. ANKH OF REINCARNATION: At the start of the next round you receive the weapons you died with.
2. BOOTS OF SPEED: Gives you speed (stacks with AGILITY and UNHOLY AURA).
3. CLAWS OF ATTACK: Deals 6% extra damage (minimum 6 / hit).
4. CLOAK OF SHADOWS: Makes you invisible. If you have a knife in your hand you are almost invisible.
5. MASK OF DEATH: 30% of the damage you deal to the opponent comes back to you as life.
6. NECKLANCE OF IMMUNITY: You are immune to the opponent's Ultimates.
7. ORB OF FROST: Reduces the speed of the opponent you shoot at.
8. PERIAPTH OF HEALTH: Gives you 15 life.
9. TOME OF EXPERIENCE: Buys XP equivalent to 1 kill.

SHOPMENU2

1. SCROLL OF RESPAWNING: Revives you if you die, with all your equipment.
2. MOLE PROTECTANT: Shows you if someone is a mole and protects you from them.
3. HELM OF EXCELENCE: Helmet against HS.
4. AMULET OF THE CAT: Your footsteps are not heard when you walk.
5. SOCK OF FEATHER: Jump a lot with reduced gravity.
6. FLAMING GLOVES OF WARMTH: Gives you 1HE/15 seconds.
7. RING OF REGENERATION: Gives you 1HP/2 seconds (you can buy a maximum of 5 rings)
8. CHAMELEON: You look like your opponents.
9. MOLE: You are based on your opponents at the beginning of the round and you look like them.

SHOPMENU3

1. LESSER HEALING POTION: Restores 50 health.
2. POTION OF INVISIBILITY: Gives you level 10 invisibility for 15 seconds.
3. POTION OF INVULNERABILITY: Reduces damage from each hit by 6 for a few seconds.
4. SCROLL OF TOWN PORTAL: Teleports you to the base.
5. DISEASE CURE: Cures infections caused by Carrion Beetles.
6. POISON CURE: Cures infections caused by Shadow Strike.
7. FIRE CURE: Extinguishes fire from you.
8. ROT CURE: Cures ROT.
9. DEHEX: Cures HEX.

NOTE: You can buy 1 item from shopmenu3 once every 30 seconds.
NOTE: You can have 1 item from each shopmenu, you cannot equip 2 items from the same shop (like helm and amulet from shop2 or claws and cloak from shop1).

Skills for ingame

Page 1:

Levitation: Allows you to jump further by reducing gravity.
Equipment Reincarnation: Gives you a (33%, 67%, or 100%) chance to regain your equipment after you die.
Impale: Adds a chance to shake the ground beneath your enemy. Having points in Intellect increases the chance of successfully launching an impale attack.
Devotion Aura: Grants you (110 to 155) health at the start of the round.
Healing Wave: Every (6 to 1.5) seconds you and nearby teammates gain 2 HP.
Siphon Mana: Steals (5% to 14%) of the enemy's money.
Leather Skin: Grants increased and regenerative natural armor.
Vampiric Aura: Grants you (10% to 37%) of the damage done in attacks back as health.

Spiked Carapace: Deals (5% to 23%) damage to the person attacking you, and you gain armor.
MultiJump: Allows you to jump multiple times while in the air.
Repair Armor (wcrepair key binding): Allows you to repair teammates' armor as an alternative way to gain XP. As you increase in rank/level, the effectiveness of armor repair improves. To use: target a teammate and press the wcrepair command.
The maximum number of repairs you can make in a round is based on your level, i.e.
Level 0 - 20 => 2 repairs/round
Level 21 - 30 => 3 repairs/round
Level 31 - 33 => 4 repairs/round
Level 34+ => 5 repairs/round
The repair made to your teammate's armor is also based on your level, i.e.
Level 0 - 4 =>10
Level 5 - 10 =>20
Level 11 - 15 =>30
Level 16 - 20 =>40
Level 21 - 24 =>50
Level 25 - 30 =>60
Level 30+ =>70
Mend Wounds (wcmend key binding): Allows you the opportunity to heal injured teammates as an alternative way to gain XP. As you increase in rank/level, the effectiveness of wound healing improves. The 2nd level of the skill adds the ability to heal "poison" and "disease", the 3rd level of the skill adds the ability to heal burns from napalm or flame thrower. To use: target a teammate and press the wcmend command.
The maximum number of healings you can do in a round is based on your level, i.e.
Level 0 - 20 => 2 healings/round
Level 21 - 30 => 3 healings/round
Level 31 - 33 => 4 healings/round
Level 34+ => 5 healings/round
How much you heal your teammate is also based on your level, i.e.
Level 0 - 4 =>15
Level 5 - 10 =>30
Level 11 - 15 =>45
Level 16 - 20 =>60
Level 21 - 24 =>75
Level 25 - 30 =>90
Level 30+ =>105
Cloak of the Chameleon: This skill gives you a 10 chance per level (10%) to be resurrected as a chameleon (to look like the enemy).
Unholy Aura: Gives you a speed boost, weapons no longer affect your speed. Having a lot of agility increases your running speed.
Hex: You have a chance (5% to 23%) to transform your opponent into a less desirable form. Having points in Intellect increases the chance of successfully launching a hex attack.
Bash: When you attack someone you have a chance (10% to 37%) to immobilize them for 1 second. Having points in Intellect increases the chance of successfully launching a bash attack.

Serpent Ward (Special Ability: bind wcward key): You gain (1, 2 or 3) serpent wards each round, affecting enemies that touch it (bind a key with wcward to plant one).
Total Blindness (Ultimate - bind wcblind key): Blinds the enemy you target for a few seconds.
Endless Ammo (Ultimate - bind wcuammo key): Gives you unlimited ammo for a few seconds.
Banish: You have a chance (6% to 24%) to slap (give slap) the enemy. Having points in Intellect increases the chance of launching a successful banish attack.
Thorns Aura: Deals (10% to 37%) "mirror" damage (i.e. 37% of the damage he did to you) to the person who attacks you.
Teleport (Ultimate - bind wcteleport key): Allows you to teleport to where you target.
Critical Strike: Gives you a 15% to 24% chance to do double the normal damage.
NOTE: if you shoot at an opponent who has voodoo activated the chance is 0
Dispell Hex (Special Ability: bind wcdispell key): Works as a mend/repair and removes the hex from the teammate you target. You get XP for removing.
The maximum number of dehexes you can do in a round is based on your level, i.e.
Level 0 - 20 => 2 dehexes/round
Level 21 - 30 => 3 dehexes/round
Level 31 - 33 => 4 dehexes/round
Level 34+ => 5 dehexes/round

Page 4:

Jump Kick: You will do 7 damage per level and push your opponent back (the higher the level, the further the throw back) - but also knock the weapon out of their hands. Ahh, God! This skill is deadly.
Carrion Beetles: You have a chance (10% to 37%) to send Carrion Beetles to attack the enemy and spread disease.
NOTE: damage = (your level/2)*3 every 3 seconds (always rounds up; effectiveness decreases if they have disease resistance). In addition, it reduces the speed of the poisoned opponent to 215
Money Boost: Gives you extra money at the start of the round. $1000 at skill level 1, then +$500 for each subsequent level.
Steel Skin: [Requires 1 Vampiric Aura level and 3 Leather Skin levels] Upgrades Leather Skin and allows Vampiric Aura to steal armor from the enemy.
Shadow Strike: You have a (10% to 37%) chance of poisoning the enemy.
NOTE: damage =(your level /2)*5 every 2 seconds (effectiveness decreases if poison resistance)
Critical Grenade: HE Grenade will do (1.5 to 7.8) times more damage.
NOTE: Magic Resistance protects against Critical Grenade
Big Bad Voodoo (Ultimate - bind wcvoodoo key): Invincibility for 2 seconds.
Gate (bind wcgate key): Opens a portal that teleports you back to base.(1/2 -2 gates/round; 2/2 -5 gates/round).

Page 5:

Depower (Ultimate - bind wcdepower key): This skill will cause YOU and the enemy to drop their weapons and receive 1 TMP in return.
Locust Swarm (Ultimate - bind wclocust key): Sends a swarm to damage enemies across the map, each point spent does 20 damage - the affected player is also temporarily slowed (speed reduced to 215).
Invisibility: Makes you partially invisible, you will be hard to see (Use cloak to disappear more!).
Phoenix: You have a chance (20% to 100%) to revive the first teammate who dies. Gives XP for each revival. (At lvl 5 the chance for the first revival is 100% and decreases by 20% for the next)
Napalm Grenades: In each round your first grenade will cover enemies with napalm, anyone hit will spread the napalm.
NOTE: damage = 5 per 2 sec or 5 per 4 sec randomly
Helm Splitter (Passive Ultimate): You have a chance to shatter the enemy's helmet, rendering it useless when you hit them in the head.
Siphon Ammo: Allows you to steal the enemy's bullets when you damage them (between 3.5% and 8%).
Blink: Chance to disable ALL enemy ultimates (20% to 100%).

Decoy (Ultimate - bind key wcdecoy): Spawns a temporary decoy (looks like you) where you target. It is indestructible.
NOTE: decoy lasts 15 seconds and has infinite health. Decoy cannot be created if you are transformed (HEX)

Vengeance (Ultimate passive): Revives you once with 50 health.

Chain Lightning (Ultimate - bind key wclightning): Unleashes a bolt of lightning that bounces on up to 3 nearby enemies.
NOTE: The first enemy takes 50 damage, the second 33, and the third 11.
Siv Shield (Ultimate - bind key wcshield): Places a protective shield around a teammate you target, allowing you to take damage (20 damage + 10 per level - level 1=30, level 2=40, etc).
Entangle Roots (Ultimate - bind key wcentangle): Allows you to immobilize an enemy, making them unable to move for 10 seconds.
Flame Strike (Ultimate - bind key wcflame): You receive a flamethrower (1 use every 20 seconds).
NOTE: damage = 10 every 1.5 sec; FIRE RESISTANCE reduces the damage done by FLAME STRIKE according to the formula damage_nou = damage_normal*FIRE RESISTANCE / max resistance.
Suicide Bomber (Ultimate passive): When you die you will explode, killing nearby enemies.
Wind Walker (Ultimate passive): This skill allows you to walk like the wind - silently. Comparable to amulet of the cat, but as an ultimate skill.

Fan of Knives: You have a chance (5%, 10% or 15%) to become a mole.
Cluster Grenade: For each point spent on this power, a cluster will be included in your grenade. Each cluster does additional damage.
Claymore Mines (Ultimate - bind wcmine key): The ability to plant a mine.
Ninja Rope (bind wcrope key): Change direction from one location to another like Tarzan; aim and press bind - press again to release the rope.
Evasion: Gives you a (5% to 17%) chance to dodge each hit. Each point in Dexterity increases this chance by 1%.
Trueshot Aura: Deals (10% to 37%) additional damage to the enemy. Having points in Intellect increases the percentage of additional damage dealt.
Fatal Strike: Gives you a chance to deal at least double damage to an enemy. At Master level, it also gives you a small chance to do an instant kill.
NOTE: at level 1: 10% chance, damage +120% ( 220% total )
2: 8% chance, damage +140% ( etc. ↓ )
3: 6% chance, damage +160 %
4: 4% chance, damage +180%
5: 2% chance, damage +200% ; 1% chance to kill instantly
HookShot (bind key wchook): Fly to a place by aiming and pressing the bind, press again to release.

Page 8:

Ice Bomb: Makes Smoke Grenades turn into FREEZE BOMBS, freezing the enemy in place and slowing them down for a moment while dealing damage.
NOTE: Has 2 “modes”: chill and freeze. Chill does NO damage, lasts 8 seconds and slows down to 180. Freeze does between 5-15 damage, lasts 4 seconds and slows down to 150. Whether you are affected by chill/freeze depends on the distance the ICE HE explodes from you.
Blessing (bind wcbless key): Heals teammates, clears them of any negative effects and sets their health and armor to maximum + extra 30hp. Grants XP.
Rot: Similar to shadow strike / carrion beetles but much stronger. Can only be cleared with an item from shopmenu3.
Grab (bind key wcgrab): Grab a player when you target them and press the bind and you will be able to move them anywhere around; press again to release them.
Cripple (Ultimate passive): Full chance to freeze the enemy for 3 seconds (like Entangle, but unstoppable), or paralyze the opponent (low speed) for 6 seconds - Requires 3 Bash points and 2 Trueshot points.
Disorient (Ultimate - bind key wcdisorient): Causes the Enemy to be disoriented for a few seconds - a terrifying experience...
Smite (Ultimate - bind key wcsmite): A bolt of lightning descends from the sky dealing damage to an enemy - More powerful than chain lightning, but only hits one person.
Earth Quake (Ultimate - bind key wcquake): Causes the ground to shake around the enemy dealing damage to everyone around it.

How and where do I get XP?

NORMAL EXPERIENCE is made from:
1. Killing opponents - XP= 15 + level*5
2. Injuring opponents - XP = 15 + level*5
NOTE: If the opponent has a higher level than you and you deal 50% of his life damage but he kills you, you still get XP if the opponent is killed by a teammate.
3. Mend Wounds - XP = 2-2.5*xp per 1 kill
4. Repair Armor - XP = 2-2.5*xp per 1 kill (same as mend)
NOTE: XP = 120 + level *10
5.Healing Wave - XP = 90 + level*5
6. Phoenix - XP = 250 + level *10 ( 3*xp per 1 kill )
7.Dehex - XP = 400 * (level / 10)
8.Shield - XP = 150 + level * 10 ( PER HIT ABSORBED / at lvl 5 absorbs 5 hits )
9.Bless - XP = 400 * (level / 5)
10. Win the round - XP = 16 + level*5 (i.e. XP for a kill + 1)
11. Plant a Bomb - XP = 120 + level *10
12. Help Bomb planted - XP = 120 + level * 5
13. Kill the one who defuses the bomb - XP = 200 + level * 10
14. Defuse the bomb - XP = 220 + level * 10
15. Kill the one carrying the bomb - XP = 220 + level * 10
16. Help defuse the bomb - XP = 220 + level * 5
17. Free the hostages - XP = 220 + level * 10
18. Bring the hostages to the safe zone - XP = 220 + level * 10
19. Help bring the hostages to the safe zone - XP = 220 + level * 5
20. Underdog Bonus - if you kill an opponent with a higher level you get a bonus (I haven't discovered the general formula yet but at close levels XP = level difference * 6)
21. BUY IT - with 4000$ you choose TOME OF EXPERIENCE (shopmenu ; 9) and you get XP as for a kill (15+level*5)
NOTE: The formulas are "experimental", calculated using the information from UWC3X INFO ( defines.inl , xp.inl, UWC3X.cfg ) and they may vary depending on the server.

ENHANCED XP is only made from:

1. Killing opponents
2. Completing the map objective (if it's a de_ you plant/defuse the bomb, if it's a cs_ you rescue the hostages, etc.)

If we take a lvl 15 player, with team aid skills like mend, repair, dehex and syv shield, we have this:
2 mend = 2*2*kill (XP)
2 repair = 2*2*kill (XP)
1 dehex (you can give more, there is a limit depending on the level) = 1*6*kill (XP)
1 shield (only 1 hit, you can absorb up to 5) = 1*3*kill (XP)

From the start I get XP equal to 13 kills just by helping teammates, without firing a bullet. This is how you reach lvl 29 in 2 days (after lvl 29 the XP needed to lvl up increases exponentially)

Already at lvl 31 when we get the last skill that grants XP (Bless), we have:
5 mend = 5*2*kill
5 repair = 5*2*kill
4 dehex = 4*6*kill
5 shield = 5*3*kill
1 bless = 14*kill

We already get XP equal to 73 kills PER ROUND just from support skills.

Character guide and game styles

In Warcraft played in a team there are 3 main character classes:

-tank: the one who takes high damage and always gets in front
-killer: the one who does high damage and quick kills
-support: the one who helps the tank and especially the killer and confuses the enemies

You choose the resistances and shopmenu 3 depending on the opponents. The rest of the skill points can be distributed in increasing the efficiency of those listed for each character or put into other skills; the same with the attributes.

Another type of “support character” would be the following, which focuses only on aid-team skills. You get XP very quickly and in small maps like fy_, aim _ and help your teammates a lot to survive.

Now, it is not necessary that the aid-team skills are at max, but if they are granted more xp, they are more effective, and some can be used multiple times ( phoenix revives 5 teammates at lvl 5, Shield absorbs 5 hits at lvl 5 ).

This example is part of my config. The “wasd” keys give mend,repair,dehex, mouse3 gives bless and shield, the shops are bound to keys for quick access + a small buyscript for weapons and a buyscript for items (with f8 I get helm and mask).
